The newest trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series The Mandalorian has arrived, and there is a lot going on in the new video. The new Star Wars TV show will debut on Disney's new streaming service on day one, November 12.

The show will take place after the fall of the Galactic Empire, five years to be precise, and during that transitional time, after Empire but before the First Order, it's a bit of a wild west out there in a galaxy far, far away. Because of this, we're going to be introduced to some new elements from Star Wars we haven't seen before and things we haven't seen in quite some time as well.

So we're digging through the trailer of The Mandalorian to see what we can glean from the video, paying attention to all the finer details. So here's what we learned about the latest Star Wars TV show.

For more on the world of Star Wars, make sure to check out the latest trailer for The Rise of Skywalker. Additionally, new information has come out about the upcoming Obi-Wan TV series, which more than likely won't land on Disney+ until 2021.

1. Death to Stormtroopers!

A lot of the imagery revealed from the show thus far has been these Stormtrooper helmets, either buried in the stand or being displayed on spikes. Given this series is set after the fall of the Empire, it hints that the remaining Stormtroopers are being hunted and killed.

"Is the world more peaceful since the revolution?" the villainous character played by Werner Herzog wonders.

2. Mandalorians have had a crazy ride.

During Herzog's voice over, he says, "It is a shame that your people suffered." This could refer to the people of Mandalore. Prior to the Invasion of Naboo--which we saw in Episode 1--there was a civil war in Mandalore between the old ways--a warrior people--and the evolving culture--which wanted to remain neutral and pacifist, and they won. This eventually led to the Imperial Army occupying the planet. Years later, there was yet another civil war between Clan Wren and Clan Saxon--who was backed by the Empire. Eventually, the Empire was ousted and leadership was placed back in the hands of the Mandalorian people.

There's also a whole saga with the Shadow Collective, led by Darth Maul, but that's a very long story in itself. It's best to watch The Clone Wars and Rebels cartoons to get the whole story.

3. Functional armor? You don't say!

One thing that's really interested about The Mandalorian's armor is that there seem to be blaster marks and general wear-and-tear on the costume, even though it looks newer. Apparently, the Mandalorian's armor is a whole lot more protective than a Stormtrooper's, which can be shot through with ease.

4. Beating up Bossk's brethren

This fight sequence between the Mandalorian and some Trandoshans--the bounty hunter Bossk is of this species--gives a good idea of just how good of a warrior the Mandalorian is, as the people from the planet Mandalore were legendary fighters, known for taking on the Jedi a long time ago. The most well-known Mandalorian--to date--is Sabine Wren from Star Wars: Rebels. While both Jango and Boba Fett wore this armor, neither of them were Mandalorian.

5. Carbonite is still being used

"But bounty hunting is a complicated profession," Herzog's character declares. We see someone's prizes encased in carbonite. We've obviously seen this before in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi when Boba Fett--not a Mandalorian--captured Han Solo for Jabba the Hutt.

6. The Razor Crest

Get used to this ship, as it's the one the Mandalorian uses to travel around the galaxy. It was previously revealed that this gunship is called the Razor Crest.

7. Time to pay up

The Mandalorian has been busy, as he brings four bounties in. To who he's delivering these people or where is unknown at this time, but considering Werner Herzog's character is doing VO, we're guessing the job is for him.

8. An Empire splinter cell?

The Galactic Empire is dead, but Werner Herzog's character is dealing with Stormtroopers in one way or another. Are they working for him? Who do these troopers answer to? It's very interesting to see what happened to the Empire in the wake of their destruction in Return of the Jedi. That's for sure.

9. Herzog may work for what's left of the Empire

It's a tiny detail, but Herzog's character is wearing the insignia for the Galactic Empire around his neck. You can only see the top of it, but it's the Empire all right. Is he just a collector of all things Empire or is he running some sort of Empire offshoot in the outer rim?

10. Remnants from the Separatists still exist

A family is running from blaster fire, and if you look in the background, you can see B2 Super Battle Droids chasing after them. We haven't seen these members of the Sepratist Droid Army since Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. They look in good condition, especially considering the events of Revenge of the Sith happened 28 years prior.

11. Squidface

While we don't know the context just yet, this scene seems to be from a sequence where the Mandalorian is attempting to take a Quarren into custody, most likely for a bounty. This species first appeared in Return of the Jedi, and they originally come from the same planet as the Mon Calamaris--Admiral Ackbar's species.

12. This isn't your normal armor

Finally, someone made space-armor tough enough to deflect blasters. It's about time. Mandalorian already has a one-up on every Stormtrooper ever.

13. A new alien!

We see the Mandalorian battle this gigantic beast with a horn in the trailer, but this may be a new beast for the Star Wars universe. Its horn is almost as big as its body, and the Mandalorian seems like he's trying to tame it, which looks exceptionally hard.

14. Maybe this is Nick Nolte's character?

Mandalorian is partnered with an Ugnaught--an alien species that is incredibly hardworking. Posters of the yet-to-be-named character were revealed recently, and we think this might be the person Nick Nolte is voicing for the show. This Ugnaught seems to be the Mandalorian's partner-in-crime, though.

15. A familiar-looking droid

No, that's not IG-88--or the various "clones" of the infamous IG-88B bounty hunter. It's IG-11, a droid voiced by Taika Waititi. The actor has said numerous times that IG-11 is innocent and doesn't lie.

16. Bill Burr's character revealed

Comedian Bill Burr has a role in the movie, and in the new trailer, we get to see him in action for the first time. We don't know his name or the context for the scene, but he is shooting three blasters with only two hands, and that's an accomplishment.
