Surprising absolutely no one, the fan-favorite god of mischief is getting his very own Disney+ show.

Did you leave the theater after Avengers: Endgame with a whole bunch of lingering questions about your favorite characters? Well, if you did, don't worry. You are far, far, far from alone. And you also just might be in luck because several of the upcoming Disney+ MCU shows are angling to tackle some of those questions once and for all. Are you concerned about what happened to time-traveling Loki who escaped his brief scene with the tesseract? Congratulations! There's a show for that.

A show called Loki, no less. No fuss, no frills, just one god of mischief doing whatever a god of mischief does with an Infinity Stone at their disposal.

The unfortunate thing is we don't actually know much about Loki (the show, not the character--boy, that's going to get confusing isn't it?) beyond those cursory details. Still, in the spirit of keeping ourselves--and of course, you--as informed and up-to-date as possible, we've amassed the few scant confirmed facts we've got into one handy list that we'll continue to update as more information trickles in.

Tom Hiddleston is back

Don't worry, Loki won't be re-cast for the show. Tom Hiddleston is returning to play the God of Mischief--in fact, as it stands right now, he is the only confirmed cast member of the show. We assume there will be many, many more to come, but honestly, who wouldn't watch a one man show all about Loki?

The premier date is a ways off

Despite being one of the first MCU Disney+ shows to be announced, Loki won't be premiering until Spring 2021, likely sometime after Doctor Strange In The Madness Of The Multiverse, making it the third MCU show on the docket for the streaming service.

This won't be the Loki from Ragnarok

The simple explanation for Loki's "resurrection" after his death in Avengers: Infinity War is that it's technically not a resurrection at all. Instead, the Loki featured in the show will be the Loki we saw abscond from 2012 at the final moments of The Avengers after all the time-traveling shenanigans.

This, unfortunately, means that the Loki featured in the show will not be the same Loki who learned some valuable lessons about family and teamwork in Thor: Ragnarok, but rather a Loki who's most recent memory, in the words of Tom Hiddleston, is "being pummeled by the Hulk."

The tesseract might not work the way we think it does

There haven't been many confirmations as to the show's plot, but Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige said at San Diego Comic-Con that it will deal with Loki using the tesseract after Avengers: Endgame. The logo typography--the word "LOKI" spelled out with randomly shifting typefaces and fonts--seems to substantiate the rumor that the show will follow Loki as he hopscotches around using the tesseract to affect different events.

However, the tesseract--aka the Space Stone--has only been shown to move things through, you know, space, not time, meaning the events of Loki would be centralized to 2012. However, given the nature of the Infinity Stones, it's possible we may see a major power boost for the Space Stone at some point in the show, allowing Loki to essentially move through the timeline at will--or, perhaps, even hop from dimension to dimension.
